If you are a well-rounded, jack-of-all-trades, commuinity-minded journalist that loves the game of golf, we have the perfect job for you! M3 Publishing, LLC is looking to hire a full-time writer that can cover all aspects of community news and sports for a group of weekly newspapers in south central Kansas (close to Wichita and Hutchinson) and north central Oklahoma (close to Oklahoma City and Enid).
This position is part of an award-winning newsroom.
• Writing and photography experience is preferred.
• Candidates should have some work experience or a combination of education and internships at a community newspaper.
• Knowledge of Associated Press style is a must.

SKILLS NEEDED:
— Superb communication and time-management.
— Cultivate sources and generate story ideas in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
— Flexibility to assist in other tasks as needed.
— Writing (grammar, style, narrative) is a must.
— Photography/video skills are plus.
— Strong computer skills, including Apple/Adobe systems.
— Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
