Description:
The National School Choice Awareness Foundation is searching for a Writing and Research Coordinator who isn't just looking for a job, but an opportunity to express their passion for K-12 education policy through research and writing. This is an entirely remote position.
Your tasks will range from conducting donor prospect research to crafting grant proposals, policy reports and white papers, and columns. The versatility of this role offers opportunities to create, communicate, and coordinate across multiple domains — from fundraising to policy analysis, internal communications, and project coordination.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with the organization’s president and senior staff. But we value true independence and flexibility in our team members. The right “fit” for this is someone who takes ownership of projects while also taking direction and shows initiative without constant oversight.
Current, former, and aspiring journalists are encouraged to apply.

This position is open to applicants in Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
TO APPLY:
Submit a resume and two writing samples (in one PDF document) to Andrew Campanella by email at andrew@schoolchoiceawareness.org with the subject line “Writing and Research Coordinator.” Please indicate your preferred hourly rate of pay or a requested range in any note you include in your e-mail. A formal cover letter is not required. Please note that applicants who advance in the hiring process will be required to complete writing, editing, and Word/Excel assessments before their hiring, and the NSCAF’s staff is not permitted to discuss employment- or hiring-related matters via social media (direct messages, LinkedIn messages, etc.). All applicants must apply through the process described.
