Freelance Writer

Description:

We are looking for freelance writers for Business.com and Business News Daily, two B2B publications owned by Centerfield Media. 

Our ideal candidates have firsthand business experience in fields such as finance, marketing, human resources, and business technology. Bonus points if that experience includes some of our major review categories like business phone systems, point of sale systems, credit card processing, payroll services, accounting software, and CRM software, to name a few.

Assignments vary in length and include new articles, updates to existing articles, reviews, buyer’s guides, and best picks pages. We provide our freelance writers with a detailed roadmap to help create articles in our house style, brand voice, and with key on page elements such as fact boxes and internal linking. 

Please provide a resume and published samples of your work. Industry experience is highly preferred. Rates to be discussed prior to delivery of paid trial assignments. 

Duties would include:

• Coordinate with editors on topics and intent of each assignment

• Integrate editorial direction into each draft

• Produce a well-written draft based on that guidance

• Meet deadlines provided by editors

• Work with editors to revise the draft prior to publication
