Firecrown is a dynamic and rapidly growing company that specializes in acquiring and managing the world's leading aviation and marine lifestyle publications. It operates print and internet publications, e-commerce sites, marketplaces, develops aviation real estate, and provides financing solutions. We are seeking a Junior Writer with logistics experience who can understand our proprietary data, identify trends and key developments, and disseminate the information on our various platforms. Candidates should be comfortable generating written content, engaging in social media platforms and making multimedia appearances.

This position requires in-office work. Candidates must be located in or within commuting distance to Chattanooga, TN.

What you will be doing:

• Conduct research and gather information to produce daily news and reports
• Collaborate with editorial directors and other reporters across brands to develop stories and angles
• Write and edit stories, ensuring accuracy, clarity and adherence to journalists standards
• Publish several articles per week
• Research articles through fact-checking and other industry resources
• Contribute copy to relevant publications and the online news service
• Write research to showcase our unique insights to readers

What you bring to the table:

• 2 years of experience in journalism or logistics
• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, logistics or a related area preferred, but not required.
• Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and data and create a compelling story supported by the facts and trends
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to write engaging headlines
• A knowledge of AP style
• Ability to work under deadline and deliver accurate news in a timely manner
• Attention to detail and a commitment to factual accuracy
• A passion for the unique story and ability to create content that will serve both professionals and a broader audience
