Palo Pinto Communications, LP, is looking to hire a Staff Writer within our group which includes The Graham Leader, Breckenridge American and Jacksboro Herald-Gazette.

The staff writer will be responsible for covering city, county, hospital and other news in the coverage area, as well as developing new, interesting stories for their publication. Sports coverage is also required in this position.

Qualified candidates should have the ability to work under strict deadlines and have experience producing news and sports stories and taking photographs. We are looking for someone with solid interpersonal and organizational abilities who can handle community relations, as well as news and sports reporting. Salary negotiable.

He or she must be a communicator and also must be a courteous team member who is ready to pitch in with other projects, when available. Knowledge of sports, ability to write and some knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop are all a plus, but we willing to train in multiple aspects of the job.
