SUMMARY
Gann Academy seeks a skilled, versatile, and accomplished writer with proven expertise in bringing the voice of a school to life through compelling storytelling and hands-on content creation. This is a highly collaborative and execution-focused role, designed for someone who thrives on managing multiple projects simultaneously and producing polished, engaging work across a wide range of channels, including email, social media, and promotional materials. Working closely with the Chief Admissions & Advancement Officer, the School Writer and Content Manager will play a key role in shaping how Gann communicates with its community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create sophisticated, inspiring, and engaging, on-brand written content across email campaigns, social media, website, development/admission communications, annual reports, viewbooks, and internal messaging.
- Manage multi-channel campaigns from concept to execution, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are exceeded.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and parents to source and create content that reflects the energy and excellence of Gann.
- Coordinate photo and video projects, whether by producing content directly, working with students or colleagues, or engaging outside partners.
- Ensure brand voice and messaging consistency across all platforms.

Qualifications

- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to write quickly, clearly, and compellingly for diverse audiences.
- Strong executive function skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities, move seamlessly between tasks, and deliver creative projects on schedule.
- Highly creative thinker with the ability to translate vision into engaging storytelling.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Enjoy working with teens and being part of a school community.
- Experience with photography, videography, and editing is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands include dexterity for operating office machines and supplies, such as computers, telephones, copy machines, and printers. Stooping, bending, and reaching for files or supplies, as well as sitting or standing for extended periods, are common.
