At a time when media outlets around the world are taking hit after hit, we have some good news – Orato First-Person News is expanding our global network of top-notch freelance journalists.

We are not hiring full-time journalists at the moment, and there is no need to send your CV as if you were applying for a job. But we are always looking for solid story ideas from experienced freelancers for text, photo-story, or video formats. 

Our goal is to give our readers a window into the experience of living through major news events, wherever in the world they are taking place. We have spent years honing a unique approach to news and storywriting that follows the strictest standards of traditional journalism, while freeing up our correspondents to put the focus squarely on first-person accounts. 

Our text or multimedia contributors are expected to identify and deliver breaking stories based on eyewitness interviews – with survivors, heroes, whistleblowers, the oppressed, and disadvantaged.

We offer highly competitive freelance rates that reward experience, and offer additional incentives to provide the exclusivity, multimedia assets, and immediacy that can make a story great. Our goal is to develop long-term relationships with journalists around the world.
